The secret to the best wing dry rub? A mix of savory, salty, and sweet. We’ve got brown sugar and a dash of cinnamon for the sweet element, with smoky paprika, garlic powder, chili, and cayenne for a kick. Mix with some classic salt and pepper, with a little onion powder, cumin, and Italian seasonings and voilà!

  • 1/2 TBSP smoked paprika
  • 1/2 TBSP garlic powder
  • 1/2 TBSP onion powder
  • 1/2 TBSP  salt
  • 3/4 TBSP light brown sugar, packed

  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Add all dry rub ingredients to a shallow bowl and mix until well blended. Set aside.
  2. Line 2 baking sheets with aluminum foil, spray with nonstick cooking spray, and set oven to preheat to 400 degrees.
  3. Spray chicken wings with oil spray, and coat one by one evenly in dry rub mixture until completely coated on all sides. Set on lined baking sheet, and repeat with all wings. You may or may not use all of the seasoning mixture, and that’s okay!

These wings are the perfect football game day hit – we make these every year for the Super Bowl and love to pair them with crisp colorful coleslaw and french fries. YUM! Remember, all foods fit into a balanced eating pattern. Guilt & anxiety over eating “fun” foods, only leads to an unhealthy relationship to food, overeating, and poor digestion. You should never feel guilty for any food – unless you stole it! Food has no morality. Listen to your body – it desired balance! Once you take the emotions out of food, you can truly choose what is going to best serve you, depending on how hungry you are, what’s going to satisfy you, and make you feel good.
