I’m a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN for short), but probably not what you’d expect: no weight loss goals, no cookie-cutter meal plans, and no one-size-fits-all approaches to nutrition counseling. I use Intuitive Eating to empower my clients to develop a positive relationship with food and eating.
As Intuitive Eating becomes more mainstream, I am proud to be one of the practitioners teaching my clients this self-care model of joyful eating. Together, we are finding food freedom. What makes me different from other Intuitive Eating Dietitians is my counseling training and approach.
As your Registered Dietitian, I offer you non-diet nutrition counseling and weight-inclusive care in a judgment-free zone.
During an initial nutrition assessment, we will get to know each other and do a deep dive into your history. You’ll have my undivided attention as we explore your medical history, medications and supplements, lab values, your relationship to food, and what food was like growing up. We’ll also go over your current struggles, eating patterns, and goals.
Follow-ups are where the magic happens! During our session together, we will go through your previous goals and discuss what’s been going well, and what’s been challenging. As a team, we will problem solve, continue to build on your goals, and set new ones together.
I work with a wide range of clients, including those with an unhealthy relationship with food, eating, their body, and exercise. I specialize in disordered eating and eating disorder recovery, intuitive eating, GI Disorders, hormonal disorders, and general wellness/nutrition using a non-diet approach.
I use an Intuitive Eating and Health At Every Size (HAES) approach to nutrition counseling, which means that I focus on health behaviors, not weight, as the goals for your progress.
Towards the end of our appointment together, we will start with a small goal or two, and build from there at our follow-up appointments. You can think of the initial assessment as the foundation of your journey.
When you first book your initial assessment, you’ll receive an email to access your own Client Portal. Here, you will fill out just a few quick required forms. Then when it’s time for our session, you’ll simply click on the link to our secure, virtual session. After your initial assessment, you’ll receive a recap of the goals we set together, as well as recommended resources and handouts.
We may incorporate various techniques here such as mindful eating activities, specific nutrition education, intuitive meal planning, thought reframing, and so much more. And as always, you will get access to any handouts and recipes we may discuss together after your session.
I also offer quick 30-minute check-ins to established clients for $100. This is a great option to maintain your progress after reaching your significant goals.
