Local Heirloom Tomato Salad

There’s nothing as simply delicious as a fresh summer tomato from the garden. Our garden has been doing quite well this summer – and I’m so proud! This year I planted the whole garden on my own (without my husbands help), so I feel a huge sense of happiness that these hands of mine grew beautiful produce. What a wonderful thing! I am always encouraging my clients to consider gardening – it gives you a sense of accomplishment, purpose, and connects you back with the earth and your food. Not to mention, the produce is just FRESHER and delicious!heirloom tomato saladAdd a little crumbled goat cheese, chopped basil from the garden, EVOO and balsamic drizzle and you are good to go. Local Heirloom Tomato Salad

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 large heirloom tomatoes
  • 1 oz goat cheese, crumbled
  • 1 bunch fresh basil, chopped
  • 1 TBSP extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 TBSP balsamic glaze
  • sea salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions

Wash and slice tomatoes. Plate tomatoes and season with sea salt and pepper.

Chop basil and sprinkle atop tomatoes. Add crumbled goat cheese.

Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic glaze.

Enjoy immediately!
