My Go-To Morning Smoothie

My Go-To Morning Smoothie – a mix of carbs, protein, fats, and fiber to fuel all morning long!

Smoothies. I’m hooked on them. They are such a great filling breakfast that can be made in a flash during a busy morning. They’ve become my breakfast go-to since not only are they filling and make my body feel good, but they taste great, too! Smoothies are a great way to get in plenty of nutrients – whether it’s from berries, spinach, protein, nuts, seeds, or fiber, smoothies are a great way to start your day.

Since I’ve been making smoothies for so long, I’ve finally gotten my go-to down pat. It’s a blend of frozen mixed berries, some banana, frozen spinach, a Hushup + Hustle Blender bomb (saves time as it’s a pre-made blend of date, honey, chia seeds, flax seeds, nuts, etc.), and whatever milk we have on hand. If I remember, I’ll also add ashwaganda and/or rhodiola for some adaptogens when I want to balance my body & mind and stay calm during stress. This smoothie is on repeat at my house – I usually make double so my husband can enjoy some, too.

My Go-To Morning Smoothie

A simple, nutrient-packed smoothie made for busy mornings when you need delicious & quick fuel. Plant-based fiber, omega-3s, healthy fats, and protein make this smoothie a nutrient powerhouse! Save even more time by adding all ingredients to a large ziploc bag the night before and sticking it in the freezer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup frozen mixed berries
  • 1/2 frozen banana
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 Blender Bomb of choice (I used Aloe Collagen)
  • 1 handful spinach or kale
  • 1/21 tsp powdered adaptogens such as rhodiola or ashwaganda (optional)
  • Milk of choice to blend
  • Optional toppings: shredded coconut, rose petals, hemp seeds, granola, etc.

Instructions

Blend all ingredients in a high-speed blender until smooth and creamy. Enjoy immediately!
